Parent Training Programs

Marva has worked with parents at the Ida B. Wells Housing Project in Chicago, the home of one of the most notorious street gangs in the city. Her program is designed to give parents a changed set of paradigms so that they can contribute and participate in the education of their children. The parents at Ida B. Wells, for example, put money in a jar every time they were tempted to verbally chastise their children in strong terms (if you get our meaning). The parents were surprised by how much money was in the jar in just a few months.
